Welcome to TRU's A Day of Arts and Science by the Dean of Arts and the Dean of Science. Instructions for the day will also be provided. We will then divide based on session location and be led to your correct buildings for your sessions.

We will ponder the profound ways water and food connect and sustain us across humanity, home places, palates and plates. Together, we will explore salient cross-cultural meanings of food and water in our own (and other species) lives.
Many people have heard the name King Arthur, but who is he and from where did his story come? Was he a real person, or just a legend? If he was real, when did he live and rule? We will trace the Arthurian legend from its inception in post-Roman Britain, through the Middle Ages, to Sir Thomas Mallory’s definitive Morte Darthur, which continues to influence and shape images of Arthur in pop culture today.
What is a Respiratory Therapist and what do they do? For this session, explore the RT Lab where you’ll get hands-on practice with technology and tools respiratory therapists use to keep their patients breathing.
For those particularly passionate about careers with critters, this super seminar explores terrific topics ranging from worms and germs to spays and x-rays!
Have you ever questioned what is being censored or prohibited? Have you ever wondered why certain societal misgivings are taboo in one decade and embraced in another? Drop by for a brief session where we'll examine gender, representation, affect, modes of repression and address such questions as who censors, who is censored, and how censorship is used as a political and societal tool.
Do you believe society provides everyone with an equal chance to be successful? Do you think your hard work is the most important factor for your success? We will discuss how social inequalities determine the unequal life chances of people and explore social solutions to tackle them.
Students will return to the Grand Hall in the CAC for a free lunch. Please note, while our culinary experts do their best to accommodate food allergies, if your allergy is severe, please consider bringing your own lunch to be on the safe side.
